Mentor Requirements
As a mentor, you will be responsible for overseeing the work of your fellow over the course of one year, beginning upon assignment. Many mentor relationships last far beyond this annual obligation, however, there will be requirements that must be fulfilled on both the student and mentor sides, in order to be considered for participation in future programs.

Selected mentors will be responsible for providing the following:
• Input in Developing a Pre-NAJF Survey for Fellows
• Analysis on Post-NAJF Survey Results for Fellows
• Skills for Job-Readiness
• Access and Tips to Media Jobs and Internships
• Resume Audits

• Current NAJA member in good standing
• Journalism experience in print, broadcast or digital media (Journalism degree preferred, but not required)
• Completed 2017-2018 mentor application
